“You have cancer,” three words that will change your life and the lives of your loved ones forever.
A great time was shared by all that attended the Comedy, Cocktails & Cures event last month at SuGo Osteria, located in Potomac, Maryland. The free fundraising event was to promote Delivering Cures 4 Cancer (DC4C), a Maryland based non-profit organization whose mission is to promote breakthroughs and advocate for patients to receive effective and safer cancer treatments. Comedian Debra Robinson sponsored the fabulous dinner. The event kicked off with an emotional and profound speech from the CEO of DC4C, Janine Shore, and the crowd went wild. Next, stadium-style two videos played on the big screens showing the how and why this is the most revolutionary cancer research for a cure ever invented. “We can make this cure available to the public within one year with the right funding,” said Janine.
The patron experience – You’re a VIP in modern-day Alice in Wonderland, replacing the mushrooms with candy cocktails. Guests were greeted with the signature lifesaver cocktail and hand-fed vodka-infused gummy lifesavers one by one into their mouth by the hottie hostess, followed by a magnificent cocktail shooter to get your sexy on and party like a rockstar.
Debra Robinson gave a raunchy knockout stand up comedy performance fit for the feisty crowd. Then we set the dance floor on fire where Johnny & The Headhunter’s gave a stellar performance. The event left everyone inspired, so that’s why you still hear so much buzz about the ball!
